Larry J. McCord
Managing Partner

Mr. McCord has an impressive background in education. He served as Chairman of a school district Personnel Committee, assuring that the removal of tenured staff comported with due process. As a former school board president, Mr. McCord negotiated union contracts and filled Superintendent vacancies. In addition, Mr. McCord was entrusted with a $100 million dollar budget as Assistant Chief of Staff for various Suffolk County departments. Moreover, as District Attendance Teacher and Hearing Officer, Mr. McCord conducted over 200 hearings. He developed the policies and procedures for disciplining students, which are currently used in Suffolk County school districts. Mr. McCord is a NYS certified teacher, has a BBA in Business Administration from Hofstra University, a Masters of Science in Human Services from Audrey Cohen College, and a Juris Doctor from Touro Law School.

 

Mary-Elizabeth Abbate
Of Counsel

Ms. Abbate earned a B.A., Cum Laude, from Adelphi University, and received her Juris Doctor from Fordham University. She served as Assistant District Attorney at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office with the Criminal Court Bureau, the Narcotics Bureau, and the Homicide Bureau. Additionally, within the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, Ms. Abbate was appointed Deputy Chief of the Juvenile Defense Bureau, wherein she tried all homicides involving juveniles, including the first juvenile tried in New York State as an adult. Ms. Abbate’s superb trial experience has earned her an incredible AV rating by Martindale Hubble—an authoritative resource for the legal profession.
